Terms of Service

1. The deal

GN PDF (the "Service") is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You can use every tool, on every device, every day, with no per-day cap, no watermark, no sign-up. In return:

• You will not use the Service for anything illegal (intellectual-property theft, fraud, harassment, distribution of CSAM, etc.).
• You will not abuse the Service in ways that harm other users (e.g., automated mass scraping of the front-end, attempting to break our hosting, embedding our tools in your own product without permission).
• You understand the Service is provided "as is" — see §6 below.

2. Ownership of your files

You retain all rights to every file you process through GN PDF. We do not claim ownership, license, or any rights to your content. Because the file never leaves your browser, we do not even have access to it.

3. Ownership of GN PDF itself

The GN PDF brand, logo, design, code (other than third-party open-source components), and written content are the property of the GN PDF team. You may not:

• Republish our blog content or SEO content as your own;
• Frame the Service inside another website without permission;
• Use the "GN PDF" name or logo in a way that implies endorsement;
• Resell or rebrand the Service.

The third-party open-source components we use (pdf.js, pdf-lib, fabric.js, SheetJS, etc.) are governed by their own MIT / Apache 2.0 / BSD licenses.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for any file you process. Do not use GN PDF to:

• Process documents you do not have the right to modify (copyright violation);
• Forge documents, signatures, or government identification;
• Create fraudulent contracts, invoices, or financial statements;
• Strip DRM from protected content where doing so is unlawful in your jurisdiction;
• Generate content that violates anti-money-laundering or sanctions law.

We have no way to inspect what you do (and we don't want to), but you remain solely responsible.

5. Advertising

The Service is funded by display advertising. You agree that ads may appear in clearly-labelled slots within the site. You are free to use a browser-based ad blocker — we will not block your access. Refer to our Privacy Policy §5 for details on the ad networks we use.

6. No warranty / liability cap

GN PDF is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every PDF will convert with perfect fidelity. Edge cases, complex layouts, very large files, exotic font subsets and corrupted source files may produce unexpected results. Always preview output before sharing or filing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GN PDF and its team are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is capped at INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees) — which is roughly what you have paid us (zero) plus a token sum for the territory.

7. Beta and experimental tools

Tools marked "Beta" (currently OCR) are functional but may have edge cases. Use them, but verify the output. We do not offer special support for Beta features.

8. Account-less by design

GN PDF has no user accounts. We never ask for sign-up, email, or payment. Your localStorage-stored preferences (theme, language, saved signatures) are local to your device and can be cleared via your browser at any time.

9. DMCA / IP complaints

If you believe content displayed on GN PDF infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice with all required DMCA elements to [email protected]. We respond within 5 business days.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra. EU / UK / California consumers retain any mandatory rights under their local consumer-protection law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for 14 days. Continued use of the Service after the change date constitutes acceptance.
